In the heart of East Valley, Apache Junction has emerged as a beacon of growth, boasting a staggering 1,058% increase in homebuilding permits between January and October. While neighboring cities deal with a decline, Apache Junction's surge can be attributed to major players like D.R. Horton and Brookfield Properties.

Home to the spectacular Superstition Mountains, Apache Junction, with a population nearing 40,000, is set for a monumental transformation. D.R. Horton, in collaboration with Brookfield Properties, is laying the groundwork for 10,000 new homes. Radiance at Superstition Vistas, a 1,400-acre master-planned community, and Blossom Rock at Superstition Vistas, spanning 1,400 acres, promise a vibrant future for the city.

Brent Davis, President of D.R. Horton's Phoenix East Division, expressed enthusiasm about the strong demand for homes at Radiance. With over 250 homes sold since the community's inception, the construction of amenities like a gym, pool, and splash pad is underway, adding to the allure of living in this burgeoning area.

The surge in permits is not just a fleeting trend; experts anticipate further spikes in 2024 as Blossom Rock's builders initiate construction. Lennar Corp. and Tri Pointe Homes have already made significant investments, marking the beginning of a new era for Apache Junction.

Brookfield Properties is diligently working on infrastructure improvements, including neighborhood parks, entryways, and water facilities, to ensure a seamless transition into this burgeoning community. A grand opening date for Blossom Rock awaits completion of these enhancements.

The catalyst for this development frenzy was D.R. Horton's victorious bid at an Arizona State Land Department auction in 2020. Brookfield's strategic collaboration and meticulous land transactions have paved the way for sustained growth, making Apache Junction the epicenter of a housing boom in the East Valley. As the city continues to evolve, 2024 holds the promise of even more permits and a thriving real estate landscape.
